PRODUCT WARRANTY

Aquarius Spas warrants to the original purchaser of a Spa for personal use that it will perform in accordance with the warranties set out in this warranty document (‘Warranties’).

The Stainless steel structure is warranted for 12 years from the date of delivery, against failure in structural integrity due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitations, conditions and exclusions expressed in this warranty.

The shell structure is guaranteed for seven years from the date of delivery, against defects in structure & material leading to water loss from the spa, provided that the installation, use and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with normal practice according to our recommendations and owner’s manual. This is subject to the limitations, conditions and exclusions expressed in this warranty. Seven years for all spa and swim spa models

All spa heaters (non-heat pump) have a two-year warranty from the date of delivery against failure due to faulty workmanship or materials, provided that the use and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the instructions found in our owners manuals (water balance that is not controlled and damages heating elements are not covered under this warranty).

All Jet pieces have a two-year warranty from the date of delivery against failure due to faulty workmanship or materials, provided that the use and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the instructions found in our owners manuals. Leaking from the jet body is covered under the plumbing warranty.

All pipes and plumbing joints have a two-year warranty from the date of delivery against failure causing leaking, due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitations and conditions expressed in this warranty.

Heat pumps, filtration systems(not elements), motors and pumps, ozone generator, audio system, lights, control valves, Balboa/Gecko control equipment i.e: control box and touch pads, have a two-year warranty from the date of delivery against failure due to faulty workmanship or materials, provided that the use and maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the instructions found in our owner’s manual. Aquarius leisure may request the parts to be returned for testing

All spa cabinets have a two-year warranty against failure in structural integrity due to faulty workmanship or materials. The spa cabinet finish is warranted to be free from defects at the time of delivery. Fading and weathering of the surface will occur naturally over time and are not considered defects.

Covers have an 18 month warranty against failure in structural integrity and vinyl due to faulty workmanship or materials. If the product has been found too of been mis-used or damaged by out of balance water the cover will not be warranted. Damage to straps, locks and stitching is not covered under this warranty. Disposing of a replaced cover is the owner’s responsibility.

The Warranties will not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Damage due to misuse or improper chemical maintenance and balance of the spa water. In particular water balance: Ph: PH Buffer and calcium hardness: Incorrect sanitisers
  • Damaged from ground movement or Acts of God.
  • Damage caused to the acrylic surface and fittings by failure to cover when not in use and excessive exposure to sunlight and/or low PH
  • Damage caused by incorrect electrical installation.
  • Damage caused by dirty filters.
  • Damage caused by unapproved chemicals such as Tri-chlor tablets/granules or calcium hypochlorite granules
  • Damage caused by rodents or any insects.
  • Damage caused by flood water or overfilling.
  • Damage caused by operation of the spa water above 41°C
  • Damage caused by installation of spa on an unsuitable surface.: Turf: Top soil: non-conforming deck sub structure
  • Damage caused by third party carriers.
  • This warranty does not cover filter cartridge elements.
  • This warranty does not cover demonstration/showroom models

The Warranties do not apply to any products used in commercial installations, including without limitation, hotels, motels, gyms, sports clubs or any other installation where larger bather density applications are apparent.

In the unlikely event the spa requires to be replaced. it will be replaced with the same model.  If the model is no longer available then one of similar value and size will be provided.

Aquarius Leisure does not accept any responsibility or liability for any advice taken around local council regulations including but not limited to building consents, resource consents and/or spa and swim spa fencing requirements. If there was a fault or a user error we can offer support via our office or you tube videos. Service and repair, when applicable, is performed in house or by nationwide experienced agents. If the client believes the issue is a under warranty then they must contact Aquarius leisure for confirmation of work to be done. It will be the spa  owner’s responsibility to have access ready to the spa sides for the technician.

A qualified electrician is required for connecting and disconnecting of the spa. Any cost against this will be born by the spa owner. Warranty will be void if this is not adhered to.

The owner bears the responsibility of looking after and inspecting their spa. This means periodically checking the controller, pumps, blowers and pipework found inside the cabinet  as outlined in our owner’s manuals. Aquarius spas are supplied with a silver cover that covers the whole of the spa. If the spa is to stored for a period of time then this cover should be left on the spa and the spa kept out of direct sunlight. When not in use the spa should have its hard cover fixed and locked down at all times and if so the silver cover can be used as an extra protection. Failure to adhere to these requirements may void your warranty.

To the full extent permitted by the laws in New Zealand, Aquarius leisure, its agents, or employees will not in any event be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to loss of use, loss of data, loss of business or profits. In no event will Aquarius Leisure, its agents, or employees, be liable for injury to any person, however arising. If products are purchased for business purposes, as defined by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (“the Act”), the provisions of the Act will not apply to the materials so purchased.

Aquarius leisure spas and swim spas are not to be used for business/commercial use or by a third party for commercial use. unless they are designated in our commercial supply sector or agreed to be Aquarius leisure.  

If any of Aquarius leisure products were used for commercial/business use then this will void warranty
